My work is about releasing, connecting and channelling the magic found in people as opposed to machines. In particular, their creativity, collaboration and collective intelligence, & the awakening of the entrepreneurial spirit.
In business speak, I am Director of Innovation, Collaboration Technologies and Communication. I act as a connector between the future and the present, the creative and the logical, the inside and the outside, the possibility and the reality, the imagination and the practical.
My work focuses on building a culture of collaboration, open sharing and innovation. Where employee creativity is nurtured for its own sake and to help solve business problems or create new growth opportunities. Where social networks and business partnerships are valued and invited to form part of an open innovation eco-system.
I also champion the internal business adoption of emerging technologies in the web and mobile web space, social networks and social media tools, semantic search technologies, pervasive computing and augmented realities.
My favourite project is curating and producing AMPLIFY- a bi-annual Innovation & Thought Leadership Festival that draws global experts to Sydney. 3000 people from the board, the leadership, employees to customers and partners participate in this immersive learning experience.
