This exciting new ASIX initiative will comprise five key program components –

  1. An art exhibition designed for non-established artists with a passion for some aspect of social changemaking to use a cross-media, installation artwork to explore their chosen issue
  2. A gala launch event on the evening of Friday 13 April
  3. An expo or fair for organisations and groups to promote their work on social innovation and citizen-engaged changemaking
  4. Workshops, forums and special events held during the Expo/Fair and throughout the Festival run by Festival sponsor/partner groups
  5. Much of the Festival program will be webcasted to allow broad participation from the ASIX community

The intent of the Festival is to –

  2. Draw attention to the important social challenges facing Australia and our world
  3. Explore the use of the arts and cultural practice in social innovation
  4. Build the ASIX community and support for our work

There will be many opportunities for individuals and groups to be involved in the Festival –
