Applications for the British Council's Realise Your Dream Now Open:: $8k, return airfares and professional development program

For the eight year, the British Council is offering five emerging and talented creatives the opportunity to realise their professional dream in the UK. Each of the five winners are flown to the UK with $8k in their pocket to undertake a bespoke professional development program with some of the UK's finest creative minds from a broad range of backgrounds. Applications are open to people above 18 who are considered 'emerging' in their field be that animation, design, architecture,art production, theatre, music, dance, film, sound production, music...and the list goes on. Hurry! Applications close June 18. What is it? The British Council Realise Your Dream Awards celebrate excellence in the arts and creative industries, offering talented Australians the chance to further their careers in the UK. What do you win? Five Awards will be offered in 2010 to emerging creatives. Each winner will be flown to the UK and given an $8000 NAB Cash Passport to assist with expenses. Most importantly, the British Council taps its network of the UK’s finest creatives to help craft a tailored professional development programme for each of the five winners. Who can apply? Realise Your Dream is open to emerging practitioners working or studying in creative industries including visual arts, fashion, design, architecture, music, digital media and performing arts. What do you need to do to win? Winning applicants will show innovation and leadership in their field, demonstrate their creative potential and have a clear vision of how they’ll benefit from connecting with the UK’s best.
