This national conference will explore innovative community responses to Australia's ongoing vulnerability to natural disasters and need for effective disaster risk management and emergency services.
It's emphasis is on community-based innovation, self-help and leadership, with the aim of identifying and strengthening effective grassroots community responses to the ravages of fire, flood, drought and wind.

ANGEL MULE - Journeys that make a difference
THE PROBLEM:
There are currently millions of non profit projects in developing countries who are in urgent need of supplies.
OUR SOLUTION:
Angel Mule uses travellers to deliver urgently needed supplies to non profits who then reward them with fun, cultural experiences.
WHY IT'S A BIG OPPORTUNITY:
Hub Melbourne
Hub Melbourne is about people, places and ideas. We are driven by a team of passionate individuals that have developed into a community through strong relationships and a strong sense of connection to the place that is Hub Melbourne.
Give Racism The Finger
We are a NEW national organisation established to erase racism in Australia.
Our first campaign "Give Racism The Finger" is now underway.
Giving racism the finger means saying ‘no’ to racist slurs and remarks. There’s four ways you can do this during our campaign from 16 May to 12 June.
1. Visit any Body Shop store in Australia. In the store, make a commitment to speak out about racism by adding your fingerprint to the canvas.
Social Innovation in Indigenous Australia
In stark contrast to the quality of life enjoyed by the majority of the broader Australian community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders experience considerable and multiple disadvantage in terms of any and every indicator, be it livelihoods, economic development, wellbeing or social inclusion.
